MESSED UP SITUATIONS
This series of paintings I like to call, “Messed up Situations” is inspired on my latest trip through Mexico. I have spent six months traveling the North and West side of Mexico and dedicated another six moths finishing this series in a beautiful town named “Comala” by the Colima Volcanos.
I choose the name for the series on my first impressions I had on the people and the cities and all that it involves (its commerce galore, sales of mostly anything and also the nice smiling people that I encounter trough the trip).
The glazed geometrical forms are a way to represent how the routine of an everyday life, blinds us from the magic, the colors and the incredible sometimes bizarre objects out there.
My aim to you is to see beauty, to see life, to experience Mexico in a painting.
